New Mexico Breweries (nmbreweries.com) is a directory and map of breweries, brewpubs, taprooms and cideries in New Mexico, run by Patrick Iverson in Santa Fe. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what choices you have.
The short version
- You can browse the whole site without an account and without telling us anything about yourself.
- If you use the contact form, we receive what you type so we can reply.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, in aggregate, and only if you accept analytics cookies.
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not run ads.
Information you give us
When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message. It is delivered to us by email so we can respond, for example to add or correct a brewery listing. We keep those emails only as long as we need them to handle your request, and we never add you to a mailing list.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. Analytics only runs if you accept cookies in the consent banner. When it does, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects data such as your browser type and pages viewed. We look at this in aggregate only. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Security and performance. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from abuse. Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Content loaded from other services
Some parts of a page come directly from other services, which means your browser connects to them and they receive your IP address:
- Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap (privacy policy).
- Beer label images on brewery pages come from Untappd (privacy policy).
Links to brewery websites, Untappd, Google Maps and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Where our directory information comes from
Brewery listings are built from public business information, including Google Places, and beer details from Untappd. These describe businesses, not individual visitors.
Cookies and your choices
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept cookies. If you decline, analytics does not run. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.
Children
This site is about beer and is intended for adults of legal drinking age. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Use the contact form and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
